Why so many large retailers choose Mirakl
The pattern in these launches is the same: a retailer with a mature ecommerce site wants to extend its range with third-party sellers or dropship suppliers without replacing its storefront. Mirakl is a dedicated marketplace layer: seller onboarding, catalogue validation, order routing, commissions and payouts, and, increasingly, retail media sold to those sellers (Debenhams, Worten and Stadium all have Mirakl Ads case studies).
In our ranking, Mirakl leads the enterprise marketplace platforms:
| Rank | Platform | Score | Type | Pricing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mirakl | 90.1/100 | Enterprise marketplace platform | Quote-based |
| 4 | Origami Marketplace | 71.1/100 | Enterprise marketplace platform | Monthly subscription, quote-based |
| 5 | Marketplacer | 68.6/100 | Enterprise marketplace platform | Quote-based |
| 12 | Ultra Commerce | 58.6/100 | Enterprise marketplace platform | Quote-based |
| 16 | Second | 54.5/100 | Enterprise marketplace platform | Quote-based (demo request) |
| 22 | Arcadier | 50.8/100 | Enterprise marketplace platform | One-time setup fee + monthly licence and management fees (quote-based) |
How to check a retailer’s marketplace platform yourself
- Look at the seller pages. Retailer marketplaces usually publish a “sell with us” page; Mirakl-powered ones often point sellers to Mirakl Connect.
- Read the vendor’s press releases, not only the retailer’s: vendors name their customers, retailers rarely name their software.
- Check the date. Retailers replatform: Tesco’s marketplace moved platforms in its second year.
